What is the NO BONE IMPLANT Concept?
The NO BONE IMPLANT concept represents an innovative solution for patients without jawbone, allowing them to receive fixed teeth in less than 12 hours.
Subperiosteal implants use a biocompatible titanium mesh that is attached to the bone in a completely different way than traditional implants. They are custom-made using CAD-CAM technology, based on the patient’s three-dimensional CT scan.
The customized implant provides a stable foundation for a dental bridge with 12 teeth, offering a fast, precise, and permanent solution. This method, although known for many years, has become more precise, accessible, and practical for patients who are not candidates for standard implants due to modern technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions and Misconceptions about Subperiosteal Implants
How long do subperiosteal implants last?
With proper maintenance and good oral hygiene, they can last over 15 years, or even a lifetime. However, their lifespan can vary depending on several factors, such as the patient’s oral health, the quality of materials, and the expertise of the oral surgeon performing the procedure.
Is the placement of subperiosteal implants painful?
The implant placement surgery may be somewhat uncomfortable, but with the use of local anesthesia and conscious sedation, the procedure should not be painful. After the procedure, patients may experience discomfort and swelling, which can be alleviated with pain medication and ice packs.
The level of pain or discomfort that a patient feels after the procedure may vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the implant placement and individual pain tolerance. However, most patients report that any discomfort is manageable and fades within a few days to a week.
Do subperiosteal implants require special care?
Can subperiosteal implants be removed from the mouth?
No, they are not designed to be removed from the mouth. Since the implant gradually integrates with the jawbone, patients should not attempt to remove their dental restoration. If you experience any issues or complications with your implants, consult your dentist or oral surgeon for treatment.
How are subperiosteal implants placed?
For the placement of subperiosteal implants, your dentist will make a small incision in the gums. Then, they will create space for the metal structure beneath the gum tissue. After placing the metal framework on the jawbone, the gums will be stitched and given time to heal. Temporary fixed teeth are immediately placed on the titanium structure, so you will receive a new functional smile right away.
What is the difference between standard and subperiosteal implants?
Standard dental implants are the most common type of implants and are placed directly into the jawbone. These implants are typically made of titanium and are shaped like small screws. They are inserted into the bone through a small incision in the gum tissue and left to heal. Once the implant fuses with the jawbone, a dental prosthetic, such as a crown, bridge, or denture, can be attached to the implant.
Subperiosteal implants, on the other hand, are placed on or above the jawbone, but beneath the gum tissue. Subperiosteal implants are custom-made to fit the shape of the patient’s jawbone and are placed under the gum tissue through a small incision. Once the implant heals, the final dental prosthetic can be attached to the implant.
